I got to the Palace on Wheels this afternoon and I am in for an experience of a life time. They had a whole welcome wagon with musicians, and flowers and lovely red scarves from Jaipur. I have my own little room with a tiny bathroom and closet and two windows to look out; there are narrow dark wood corridors that lead to small living rooms, bars and two restaurant cars. I also have two butlers that bring me tea first thing in the morning- see what i am saying? Heaven! So cool, like the Orient Express (no murders please)! I have made lots of cool friends including a bunch of funny, stylish, smart and rowdy couples from Malaysia who always take vacations together. They have adopted me. Off to ride elephants and camels and see tigers!
I have great pictures but not great wifi connection. i've lost my connection several times tonight. I may need to wait until Delhi next week but i will try to download a few. By the way, I love the comments. ( I think having a google account allows one to post more easily- a couple of folks couldn’t post when they tried.)
